The Beach

At 14km, Wasaga Beach is the largest freshwater beach in the world.

The sparkling waters of the Nottawasaga Bay offer safe swimming and exciting boating.

Wasaga Beach also has a beautiful area of rare inland sand dunes. Visitors can hike and bike in the 2,900 acre “Blueberry Plains” nature reserve on 26 kilometres of trails. Blueberry Plains is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and boasts many rare species of wildflowers. In the winter, these trails are groomed and track-set for the cross-country ski enthusiast. A skating track and warm-up huts are also available, providing hours of fun for all skiers, from novice to expert.
